You know, the fact that the new Intel MacBooks are just lightning-fast — not only warping spacetime in comparison to the old G3 iBook, but even laughing at my G5 iMac as it starts up and launches apps without any detectable hesitation — would seem a good enough reason to be happy with a new computer like HECtor. Built-in iSight and accident-resistant magnetic power cord attachment? Also spiffy.

But I really think my favorite feature on the new body is the incredibly satisfying, much more solid sound of the keyboard. It just makes everything I type sound more important, plackity-plackity-plackity-plunk-kerplick.

Solid.
