How does Congressman Foley separate the church from the state?
With a crowbar!
Yeah, no, it doesn’t really work, does it? Damn. But hey, it makes one helluva copout:
CNN Breaking News — Former Rep. Mark Foley was molested as a teenager between the ages of 13 and 15 by a clergyman, his lawyer says.
Another faith-based initiative bites the dust.

Did you see the bit where his lawyer was saying that he wasn’t really a pedophile because he never actually molested a child? Even assuming that’s true - it’s like saying that someone isn’t straight because they haven’t managed to score yet. Um.

Nice. And what’s also disappointing is that half the GOP base is going to use this as pseudo-scientific “evidence” that homosexuality = pedophilia. Did you see the comment in Brooke’s post about the hick who called into the C-SPAN red line yesterday and chimed, “And that’s one thing, but I keep coming back to this Foley thing and I think it’s just awful and you know what? This is a result of the Homosexual Agenda of Bill Clinton, letting all these gays into Congress and allowing them access to young people while he was doing his thing…” So remember kids!

It’s still kind of funny because the Crobar is a giant shady/hip/sketchy bar in Chicago that has big gay dance parties, drag shows, and S&M night.
All your juvenile stuff has been making me laugh. Keep it up!

Come on. Haven’t most boys between the ages of 13 and 15 been molested by a member of the clergy?
