This weekend is Dragon*Con in Atlanta, and I met up with some drinkin’ friends at the Hyatt to play Weird Sighting Bingo (well, they played, I just filmed). Stormtroopers, zombies, big weapons and lots of cleavage, as always.

I was surprised at how over-fed and fat the sci-fi community was during my own foray down to D*C. No wonder there was so much cape action. What better garment could there be for stashing Twinkies and fat rolls? Beats even the ubiquitous black, ironic-sloganed, oversized tee.

@Grayson - capes, really? My Con experience was that this was definitely the place for the pleasantly plump to let it all hang out — or rather, pop out, as there isn’t much room for “hanging” with all them cinched-up corsets.

what’s taking them so long to post a dragoncon 2007 convention report on trekweb and startrek.com? on another note,about george and laura bush:there’s a LOT of money in being really dumb.i bet george and laura bush have WAY more money than albert einstein ever did.

just what i said.god tends to give people either extreme amounts of money or extreme amounts of brains;never both.for example,look at paris hilton,that person was given one hundred and fifty million dollars and she only has half a brain.she’s so dumb she probably thinks that quantum physics is a fashion designer.if paris hilton ever found out what quantum physics REALLY is she’s guaranteed to lose at least a few million dollars right there. as far as your “huh?”reply is conscerned:good strategy,maybe if you play stupid you’ll draw more money to your self.one way or another. i’d like to sit and chat with you all day,but i’m too busy.i’m off to make my fortune.being so clever is SO expensive.

No, by “huh?” I meant “what the biscuits does DragonCon have to do with George and Laura Bush?” I know I’ve got political blog posts all over the place, but this ain’t one of ‘em. Oh wait, I see: you’re referencing the technorati item in the sidebar. I didn’t know where you were coming from. I need to refresh that thing.
Good luck making your fortune; maybe with what’s left over you can buy some extra spaces to put after your punctuation so I don’t get a headache reading.
