When life gives you lemons
Posted by shelbinator under Politics, YouTube and such
I didn’t get a chance to watch last night’s 217th Democratic debate live because (1) Comcast sucks and doesn’t include MSNBC in their basic channel lineup, and (2) MSNBC seriously sucks because it’s built entirely for Microsoft, and though they finally upgraded their website so Firefox on a Mac can view recorded videos, we’re still shut out of live video events like the debate. I guess they still haven’t gotten that memo about open content being the wise marketing strategy of the 21st century — but hey, that’s what happens when you partner with Microsoft.
Anyway, the ever-trusty Dodd Clock shows that the moderators and format continue to whittle down the field to their top 3 by ignoring those candidates they couldn’t keep out of the building like Mike Gravel.

That is seriously about the most obnoxious distribution I have ever seen in my life. But then I guess when the top 3 candidates are always talking out of both sides of their mouths, they need at least twice as long to settle on a position. With what little time he had, the formerly long-winded Senator Biden at least managed to knock it out of the park with this awesome line:
Rudy Giuliani’s communications director Katie Levinson managed to channel her inner 13-year-old in the official campaign response. It’s particularly ironic that she tries to earn points from any solitary mention of Rudy during a Dem debate as a sign of his ascendancy, considering there are about 20 references to Clinton per minute of Republican debate.
The rest of his debate footage is here, if you care to consider something other than media-declared “inevitability.”

Thanks for the heads-up on the quote by Giuliani’s flak. Gave me a good idea for a post, Plaground Republicans, which is up now:
